Barbara Szenasi is a professional dancer and the founder of the Barbara Dance Academy. She started dancing at the age of four in a Hungarian folk dance group where she performed in the Hungarian State Opera House and many Hungarian theatres. She specializes in belly and Irish dances, which later became her passion and profession.
After having won several international competitions and wining the European Championship title twice, Barbara was among the few European competitors who was able to qualify for the World Championships in Ireland. In addition to competing she is also a choreographer.
In her 20 years of dance experience, she opened her own dance school (Barbara Dance Academy). There she teaches both traditional and modern styles for competition and for leisure purposes. Today BDA teaches Irish dancing for kids and adults in 3 countries: Hungary, Austria and Croatia.
Barbara graduated at top of her class in Ireland. Currently, she is the only officially qualified (TCRG) Irish dance teacher in Hungary.

Barbara Dance Academy
Négy éves koromban kezdtem el a tánccal foglalkozni. 5 évig néptáncoltam, többekközött a Magyar Állami Operaház és számos egyéb színház színpadán is szerepeltem. Később különböző táncstílusokkal is megismerkedtem, így találtam rá az ír táncra.
Ronan Morgan és Stephen Scariff (Lord of the Dance táncosai, szólistáitól) volt szerencsém tanulni az ír-szteppet.
Több nemzetközi verseny és 2x-es Európa bajnoki cím megszerzése után Közép-Európában az elsők között kvalifikáltam az írországi világbajnokságra. A versenyzés mellett számos produkciókban is közreműködtem, mint táncos és mint koreográfus, főleg ír tánc és hastánc műfajban.
Elég hamar eldöntöttem, hogy ezzel szeretnék foglalkozni. Sok év tanulás után Írországban diplomáztam le. Magyarországon jelenleg egyedüliként rendelkezem hivatalos, kvalifikált ír-sztepp oktatói engedéllyel (TCRG).
Több, mint 20 év táncos múlt után megnyitottam saját tánciskolámat (Barbara Dance Academy), ahol tradicionális és modern stílusokat tartok verseny és hobbi csoportoknak egyaránt. A BDA (Barbara Dance Academy) jelenleg 3 országban Magyarországon, Ausztriában és Horvátországban oktatja az egészen fiatalokat és a felnőtteket is ír táncra.
